@Alkpaz Onlive is nothing like cloud computing. Onlive is only rendered video which can be broken down into far smaller packages to send through the internet than what would be done on the cloud.

Read this for more info its a long article but gives you a good idea of what the cloud can do for xb1 and I think Microsoft is blowing a little smoke for how much they say its going to help.

@thechuck11 It also wont work on cross platform games unless devs code ps4 and such different from xb1. thats unlikely due to costs so probably means this would only be used in xbox exclusive titles. Lot of questions up in the air about cloud computing and a lot of it doesnt seem good.

Ok so I commented earlier about a eurogamer article in regards to this and found the article it points out the obvious limitations of cloud computing. Microsoft is blowing a lot of smoke here in my opinion.

@Hvac0120 The cloud would be almost pointless for any single player applications other than lighting that doesnt need to change in real time maybe crowds in a sports game things like that. Its only really beneficial in multiplayer settings and even then only on things that can be computed that dont require it instantly.

@Rogue1906 @Razor10000 It cant be used on some lighting and it definitely cant be used for fire wind effects or smoke that is something that needs to be computed instantly if it used the cloud a car could explode then 1-3 seconds later you see the fire depending on your bandwidth limitations and latency

I read a eurogamer article which kinda points out how this cloud service is not going to work as well as microsoft is saying. Cant remember link but it talks about how latency and bandwidth (upload bandwidth being the main issue) will be huge problems for computing any needed real time information. Seems like this to me is just bs from microsoft because the PS4 is a more powerful system.

If your actually interested in this here is a wiki link that deals with this topic and kinda seems like what this is about, a guy registering a domain in hopes of cashing in.

@digitaltiger I could be wrong but I think its only infringement if you try to do harm to it like say he made a site against xbox or pro sony or something.
