They charge because people will pay. Another question is why to they charge and still have ads on the dashboard? Thats why after my initial 30 days runs out I won't be paying.

they make an adapter that converts the 1/8th inch plug to a left and right RCA plug. They are about 6 dollars at Radio Shack if you have one of those by you
I spent a hour trying to do this. I killed several people, 4 bullets+ 4 headshots Achievement for me. I was like WTF. So I stop trying. When I was on the Misson defending the tank, all of a sudden, Ding I go the Achievement. Don't know what to tell you.
If it is the Upload speed then it's way fast enough. Download speed in 99% of the cases will always be faster than the upload speed. UL speed is what you need to check if it is at least .768 mbps you should be good to host, .256 to play
