These guys don't have a clue. Smartphones don't represent a threat, they represent a missed opportunity. Who wouldn't pay big bucks for a Nintendo phone, with Virtual Console/Wii Ware connectivity?For a company that wanted to differentiate using the Wii, this company has no vision. The only one that did was Sony with the Xperia Play, and they don't even know what to do with that phone, cause they are too focused on the failure of the Vita.On a final note, the Virtual Console and Wii Ware store should have been transferred to the handheld market 5 years ago.
Square hasn't released a really good original Final Fantasy since the Playstation 1. Not only that, they refuse to believe that an HD remake of Final Fantasy 7 will be a HUGE hit and a HUGE money maker. The only thing good coming from this company is direct sequels and remakes of old masterpiece games.
Once they fix this, then their opinion on the console generations will matter.

the market is simply over saturated with MMOs. The next MMO that is a good game will succeed when they port it over to a console, yet deliver the same experience. Notice I said good game, so DC Online and Final Fantasy 11 doesn't count.
Despite what kind of gamer you are, or what you want to play, you can not deny the fact that mobile hand helds have sold hundreds of millions of games on the market, that Nintendo has made ZERO attempt to capture. For a company that 5 years ago tried to reevaluate how they market video games to capture the non gamer, this is a HUGE missed opportunity for them. Now us as a gamer could care less. But to a video game company who's ultimate goal is to make money, they Effed up, Royally!
Nintendo is no longer a relevant company in the video game industry, with the exception of their IP. They missed a money making opportunity, when they should have partnered with a phone company to release a phone that plays nintendo games, or something like that. Keep it simple, open up the virtual console on the android market or something like that and release an official Nintendo Android phone. Do something new and innovative.
"way to go on copying amd again intel, congrats" Kinda hard to copy alot of this stuff when alot of it is on the drawing board literally years before it ever comes to market. Then there comes the research and development, then testing, then finally it hits the shelves.
Needs a second Analog Stick. We will now never get a really good FPS game with good controlls. Any existing games could be patched to use the new analog stick, and future products could support one, which would boost system sales. Sloppy!
