Depends on the game.

I can barely beat Darksiders on easy, that game is so freaking hard.

[QUOTE="InternetSwag"]

I'm looking at Mass Effect 2, Assasins Creed 2 and Dragon Age 2.

I am aware these games are old, that's why I'm getting them. I've never played any of them or their prequels. But I reckon there should be enough information on them to decide which is the best.

From the reviews I've read it comes down to Assasins Creed vs Mass Effect.

What do you think?

Hmm thats a good question considering you haven't played the prequels. As far as the best game goes, I would says Mass Effect 2. However, I liked ME1 more because the story in ME1 is so much better. If its a choice between ME1 and ME2 for $5, my advice is go for ME1.

If you aren't going to play any of the prequels I would say go for ME2. Then AC2. I thought DA2 was aweful. Not even worth my time--even if it were a free game.

Why play the sequels though?

Why not buy DA:O Ultimate edition? That would be the best value and best game imo.

I can't buy them online, so I need to settle for what my store has. It doesn't have the prequels. Which game will last me the longest?

ok thanks but will the low settings have an impact on the experience of the game? if you know what i mean ? :pdretsie

I believe experience is recieved from quests and killing mobs, so your hardware should not affect it.

If you are talking about gameplay experience from graphical quality then yes, it would have an impact. How big of an impact I do not know. Your view distance might be inferior to someone at max settings, while not game breaking, it does effect gameplay experience. Which is what you asked :)

[QUOTE="Jd1680a"]Now its time to get Skyrim and turn it up on max settings.kaitanuvax

Not possible with a 5770. You need at least a GTX 460 768MB fora playable experience for everything absolutely maxed:

30 fps min is good enough for me.

You got all that for 799?

That is mindblowingly cheap.

But I have to wonder, why do PC companies sell prebuilt PC's with i7's all the time? I mean they would be better off putting in i5's and giving the consumer a better GPU.

Laptops as well, most of the new ones have i7's in them but crap GPU.
