@colt_a @Reaverking @RoadStar1602 Funny, I played SWTOR constantly on release, What is this "unplayable" you speak of. And since when is at least 5 years of development "rushed"?

ME3 is extremely well built, not buggy, and better balanced than it's predecessor (IMO). In fact, if it weren't for the whining over the ending (which seems to be largely a result of the acts of one or two ME3 team members and not EA), few would have complained.

So right now we got...DA2 as the major low point. I bet guys from Looking Glass wishes the worst game they put out did as well as DA2 right now...

@colt_a @WCK619 I think that indie games are in many cases very 'hipster'. They appeal to a "I do this because it is unique and less popular" culture. Of course the fact that this culture latches onto indie games does not make them bad. At the end of the day the quality of a game must stand on its own merits.

On the mega publisher side of things, I like a good story. I really enjoyed 95% of Mass Effect 3, and while the ending wasn't perfect, it was somewhat moving. I also enjoyed being able to play Orange Box on my PS3, I really like Rock Band, and I enjoyed leveling a 50 in SWTOR.

I look at it like this, Dr. Horrible was Amazing and did so many good and unique things. Moon was such a unique story, Bunraku is visually stunning. Thor, Tron Legacy, and Captain America were cool, and I enjoyed them, but it didn't do anything really innovative. Should we call the makers of the last three movies evil or accuse them of destroying the film industry because the first three were innovative? I think not...No more than I think that Notch is incapable of being innovative and maintaining the "indie gamemaker" spirit just because Minecraft made a mint and he now runs a company in an office and not a basement.

@thebeasle Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero (and every spinoff), Quake, James Bond, Infinity Ward (the people, not the name), Red Octane, Sierra Entertainment, Bizarre Creations, and more may disagree.

Also, Blizzard effectively runs with little to no influence from their Activision half. Thus the Activision/Blizzard name.

Overall both companies are interested in money, both milking and killing successful franchises, and both are guilty of practicing questionable business practices.

Though, to be honest, I own one game published by Activision, whereas I have a large number of EA games. They just publish more games that I actually like.

So not like I'm adding much new, but as I see it 360 generally gives better detail, while the ps3 is more colorful and doesn't look as dark or washed out as the 360. As most have said the difference is negligible and personally I prefer the extra color on the ps3 over the extra detail of the 360. I feel like I'm actually seeing more, even if I'm not.
