[QUOTE="badtaker"] on which console butt we should play RTS games adamosmaki

rts games are the only thing keeping the PC gaming in this discussion. The mainstream games are made for the PS3/360 combo.

How about Fps ( i counted more PC fps than any single console) How about Rpg's , How about simulation, MMo's, Adventure, Sport managements , sim racing, building games ( like Anno 1404 ),

if you go back 16 years sure, but we are just talking this gen, thanks. Do the count again.

[QUOTE="adamosmaki"] You think it stinks. IMO console lineup stinks shooters and more shooters. and the fact that you pit 2 consoles against 1 show how good the pc lineup is and the whole thread was about exclusives and all of a sudden you change it to AA and AAA games that are available on 360/Ps3 because like you have shown PC destroys both consoles exclusive wise Also dont try passing your opinion as a fact by saying PS3/360 combo completely destroys Pc because the only fact on this thread is that Pc has more exclusivesadamosmaki

Call it whatever you want, the whole thread was about why the PS3/360 is a better choice than a 600 dollar PC, and so all I am talking about is valid, read the headliner again. As for my opinion, im going by what is selling and what Devs are focused on. The bottomline, you can think all you want that RTS are the genre of choice, I will go with the reality of the market place. Epic thread

Funny think about Devs on GDC 2009 ( games convention )

GDC 2009 conference attendees develop for these platforms:

Console 33.1%

Handheld (DS, DSI, PSP, Microsoft) 13.1%

Mobile (phones) 13.3%

PC/Mac 49.2%

Web 18.4%

iPhone/iTouch 9.7%

you can give skewed data all you want, that emcompasses all PC gaming like starcraft that came out in 1998. Give me a break, Epic thread confirmed.

Maybe. But a 360/PC combo is better than a 360/ps3 combo. And a 360/pc/Wii combo wins the game.

Or replace 360 with PS3 if that's your preference. Same outcome though.

MangaJ

yes very true, but that is not what im saying. You cant really get a 300 dollar PC with a blue ray player and the support that the PS3 has or vise versa.

[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] The spread sheet only accounts for post-2005 games too right? KHAndAnime

yes, if you wanna do the math please do so, you have to count ps3/360 or console exclusives as exclusive and oompare it to the AAe's since the PC gets killed in AAAE's when you dont even count console exclusives.

The problem is that there's really much more to this argument than comparing numbers of AA/AAA games. For example, it's pretty bold to just ignore the fact that PC gaming has dozens and dozens of excellent PC games that came out before 2005.

I think its pretty bold to act like PC gaming has more mainstream games with its vaunted AA list and act like console exclusives wouldnt matter in this argument when it essential does. Because we dont use the word console exclusive? Thats fine, but in this argument a PS3/360 games that arent on the PC are exclusive to my original statement.

I love my PC, but you're right. A PS360 combo is the way to go.

as does the PS2, and xbox originals, and i have the original PS3, and xbox 360 has support for alot of the big game that came out on the originals. Bottomline is the PS3/360 combo.

[QUOTE="adamosmaki"] In the very first post of your topic you are talking about exclusives and the PC has more AA and AAA exclusives than 360/ps3 combined Even if you talk about console exclusives ( a term btw that does not exist on SW ) yes there are slightly more games on Ps3/360 combo but the fact that 1 system is about equal to 2 i think it shows how great Pc is adamosmaki

ding ding ding finally you get it, but no the PC isnt that great, look closer to there vaunted AAE list, it stinks, its all RTS and games that mainstream gamers arent playing. THe PS3/360 combo completely destroys the PC, and yes if you wanna call them console exclusives for this thread fine, and yes the term does exsist if you guy by my original statement. End of discussion. I proved my point.

You think it stinks. IMO console lineup stinks shooters and more shooters. and the fact that you pit 2 consoles against 1 show how good the pc lineup is and the whole thread was about exclusives and all of a sudden you change it to AA and AAA games that are available on 360/Ps3 because like you have shown PC destroys both consoles exclusive wise Also dont try passing your opinion as a fact by saying PS3/360 combo completely destroys Pc because the only fact on this thread is that Pc has more exclusives

It isnt even an argument. You get all the PC/360 exclusives, plus 360 exclusives, and you get blu ray plus all the PS3 exclusives. The PS3/360 combo is definitely the way to go if you have 600 to spend.

[QUOTE="metswonin69"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] They wouldn't be here if this was their first computer. And if it was their first computer, they probably wouldn't be using it to play games. :P Of course I see where you're coming from - but really it's just nitpicking. You might as well throw in a PC Desk into the equation because if this is his/her first PC, they likely don't have anywhere to put it. Right? You are also forgetting PC speakers as well!HuusAsking

Who cares about exclusives? The PS3/360 combo will give you more AA+ games overall. That is really what is important in the long run, not which one has more exclusives.

I think you were proven wrong there, too, especially when you remove the crosstalk (games common to both PS3 and 360 can only count once).

no he wasnt proven wrong, all the people saying the opposite actually were wrong. I even have to explain this to mods cause my thread has caused such a stir, but in the end I am right
