[QUOTE="gobo212"] That makes absolutely no sense to me. Hell my question doesn't even make sense because what I mean to say was that if the universe always existed than then all matter and energy would have always existed and thus there is no need to break any of our current scientific laws.Vanadium2k8
I'm just saying if there is unlimited time then why is there limited energy? If you use that theory then you have larger holes than you had before - and the question would remain unanswered as to why we are here in the first place.

Because time is not energy.

[QUOTE="I_Am_Rage"][QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"] Uh yeah let's have more lazy people sitting on their ass, that will definitely be an awesome idea. JigglyWiggly_
You have Google. Look up how many famous, productive, successful, wealthy, and well-liked people are ganja users. I know a lot of people who smoke ganja. A lot! Some of them are lazy, and some of them are not even close. Too many people are mistakenly thinking that ganja use leads to laziness, but if it was true, everyone would be affected that way. Many people, myself included, become stimulated by ganja. It perks me up, and refreshes my zest for certain things in life. I realized that the people I know who are lazy ganja smokers, are people who were just lazy to begin with, and that's why they were attracted to something like ganja that would keep them comfortably sedated. Creative type people smoke for the inspiration it can strike, the invigoration of the less traveled pathways in the brain, the excitement that awaits. You see, people smoke for different reasons. Not all ganja smokers are lazy bums. I know I'm not, neither is my boyfriend or any of my ganja smoking family members. You hold a very outdated view on ganja users, sorry to tell ya.

I am not a person to dwell within social problems however, do you know how many people were successful without ganja? /WIN :D

We'll never know that, because many people do not reveal certain things about themselves. Ganja use being one of them. You've won nothing yet. Oh I forgot to mention, on top of famous, productive, successful, wealthy, and well liked - you can add talented and intelligent to that list.

[QUOTE="I_Am_Rage"] Don't do what I want you to do. Do what you want. But if I was to offer advice, I would say to just keep your mind open and pay attention to changes in the world around you. Stay aware. Putting faith in a God is just as blinding as putting faith in science or anything outside of yourself, actually. Just remain humble and open. If there's a God, I don't think he'd be mad at you for doing that. Is it even possible for God to be mad at what he created? I don't see any likelihood of that whatsoever. Too many people believe out of fear. Crippling fear that has driven them into fanatical submission, and once they're planted firmly in their base of fanaticism, this is when they reach out and try to bring others down with them. Because misery loves company. Unfortunately, they deceptively disguise this cry for help as though they are the saved, reaching out to save you too. Watch out, or you will be victimized too.Vanadium2k8
I am open, if somehow science does prove how energy came into existence - how life came into existence - how I am where I am, and why this "existence" exists in the first place I'll convert, or deem the "energy creator" as what we imagined to be god himself. I don't believe in a religion - I'm open to the fact that there may be a hell, but I don't think you go there because you didn't believe in god, but you go there because you did more wrong than good. I also believe reincarnation is just likely. I CHOSE to believe in a god - people didn't implant that fact/thought into me as a child, as my parents were irreligious themselves.

If you are open to so many possibilities, then why are you saying you believe in "God"?!? Sounds like you just believe in higher power, but using the term "God" specifically makes you appear to be religious.

This is the best way i can describe God, basically when people say stuff like "where is god from", they cant get an answer from anyone here on earth. This is because we dont know and we couldnt even begin to explain what was here before the planets and space etc. Im not one for the whole science thing and i doubt i will ever be, i personally think if you believe in the science then life seems bleak and pointless, because scientists have never uttered a word about life after death. Why is an afterlife necessary to make this life have meaning? Can you not find any other reason to make this life special?

[QUOTE="Vax45"]I'm all for legalizing Marijuana, BUT it has to have the same kind of restrictions Alcohol has. You have to be 18 (21 in the US, but that's a completely different debate) You will be arrested if you are caught under the influence while operating heavy machinery. You cannot use it in public, you must be in a bar or your own house or something.

Now there's some reasonable thinking!

[QUOTE="I_Am_Rage"][QUOTE="Vanadium2k8"] No, in his above post he said the belief in god is absurd. It probably is absurd, but it sounds more right to me than the obviously contradicting scientific "logical" reasoning.Vanadium2k8
So you agree that it probably is absurd, yet you do it anyway. Congratulations, you've officially flustered me.

So what do you want me to do? Believe in atheist theories that are just as absurd - or even more absurd due to the fact that's a huge fat contradiction of itself?

[QUOTE="aliblabla2007"] I do not believe in "something out of nothing". Until we discover more about the universe, that's as far as I can go. There's a hole there, but I'm saying that you don't have to fill that hole with GodVanadium2k8
In scientific theory, there will always be a hole - a huge large fat one. If we did happen to "fill the hole", it would obviously contradict with the whole theory that energy and matter can not be created from thin air and if energy can be created from thin air, then all progress humans have made in science has just gone down the **** hole.

Still doesn't mean God did anything. Just keep your mind open, is all I'm sayin. Unless you want to be caught off guard! Yowza!

[QUOTE="I_Am_Rage"][QUOTE="mikeg0788"] If you want to talk about productivity, then outlaw video games, one of the single biggest wastes of time I know of. A fun waste of time, but completely pointless nonetheless. At least, pointless in the same way you view smoking weed as pointless.gobo212
I don't think fun is a waste of time. That's one of the best ways to spend your precious time, actually. :)

"Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."

Absolutely! :)
