lol, y would u want to install a game on 27 PCs? If you want to play multiplayer on a LAN then depending on the EULA you will still legally need an original for each PC or two.

I am 42 yrs old. gaming since the Atari 800XL. We used to get hold of cracked games on 5 1/4" floppies even in those days. I have made the mistake of buying a few games that turned out to be not worth even half of what I paid for them. For this reason, I will try a game before I buy it. If that means downloading it, then so be it. I am not condoning piracy, so don't give me that "just an excuse", "it's still stealing", "harming the games industry" crap. I am saying that, having plenty of experience with games (also movies), I have learned that before I pay $40+ (conservative figure, btw) I want to know that it isn't just gonna be played for an hour then sit on the shelf for ever. 25 yrs ago I said that if they stopped spending what is now millions on copy protection and dropped the prices on games, more people would buy them. This is still, no, "especially" true today; 1. people that can't afford \\$40+ to buy all the new games would perhaps be able to afford to buy more of them instead of having to rely on illegal versions. 2. Affordable, legal items negate the need for "black market" items. Everyone would prefer to have the box, serial number, rights to updates, a manual, support, multiplayer options, etc, etc.... 3. finding & installing a "nocd" etc' can often prove to be easier, quicker and less taxing on a PC than messing about with the (sometimes) stupid serial / protection / activation / putting CD in that is ever more present. So, my suggestion? Forget the ridiculous cost of copy protection (save $$$), reduce the prices, make more sales ($$$), reduce piracy ($$$). This also applies to movies. After making good money on Cinema tickets, stop being greedy with the price of DVDs. Reduce the price, sell more, reduce the amount of copying and the release of bad versions. Prime example: I got the torrent version of Company of Heroes over 2 yrs ago. I played the tutorial and the 1st part of the campaign. Realised what a good game it was, so I bought it. I then bought the Opposing Fronts expansion & now the ToV expansion. If I hadn't got the torrent version I prolly wouldn't have bought it. Did the fact that I used a pirated version hurt Relic? No, it gave them a triple sale! It's easy, stop all the poxy excuses & drop the price. btw, I also bought World of Goo & told a m8 about it, who also bought it. Rest my case...

In Conclusion, you'll need to buy the best of the best in order to get this game running with 60FPS+" ------------------------------- Well, I'm running an AMD x2 3800+, 2gb 800mz, 8800gts 320mb and I'm running the game at 1680x1050 all on ultra. No slowdown at all for me. The only difference is that I'm using XP (dx9) & youre using Vista & presumably dx10.
