Yeah, Steam can kinda suck at times, please don't hurt me Valve! :cry:

That's happened to me before, I usually just leave it for a few hours and try again, 9 times out of 10, it works.

It's because it's Elven, anything that's Elven sucks.

I'm not a racist by the way.

Don't get your hopes up for Black Ops, everyone did it with MW2 and look what happened. Does it really matter if Black Ops is using the MW2 engine? It's a good engine that runs well, it has no affect on gameplay; Treyarch does! Medal of Honor, I'm not very excited for, I'll probably just pass on the game. I've never cared for Medal of Honors action movie feel, it's something MW2 went for and I just don't care for it. IIt didn't have the epic war feeling Call of Duty 2 had. Themultiplayerisn't like Bad Company, it's going for Infantry Combat like Call of Duty, I'm not sure if it hasvehicles, but then again, I don't really care.

Black Ops = Might be good, might not.

MOH = Whatever.

So Indie games seem overcrowded, but mainstream games don't?

I find Steam alright, I used to hate Steam with a passion, but then I got a better PC and now I don't mind it, a game is probably better off using Steam anyway, at least multiplayer, means the game can build a community much better and friends can play together with ease. It's also great for Indie developers to distribute their content; like World of Goo or braid. PC gaming isn't in the greatest shape right now and Steam is helping to heal it.

I don't really like RTS games, I find them boring, I can see their appeal, but they just aren't for me. So I was looking up some info about DOW and it seems to have a bigger emphasis on brutal fast paced combat, it uses control points instead of resources which means map control is vital and aggressive play is rewarded. That's all I know about the game, is it something you guys think I would enjoy?

Battlefield seems a little too simple/similar to COD, I will try Bioshock though. Other suggestions?property2r145
When you say tense, do you mean like horror? If so, then I'd commend Cryostasis.

It's not that great, the campaign is alright, but no were near as good as CoD 2 or 4, the multiplayer is a tad laggy and it has balance issues.

The game runs fine on most PC's, as Call of Duty games tend too. I'd recommend Call of Duty 4 if you haven't tried it. I'd also recommend Call of Duty 2, but Infinity Ward have seemed toabandon the game and haven't updated it, so trying to run Call of Duty 2 on Windows 7 is like trying to have sex with a super model, Vista I'm not sure.

The smallest price range I can seem to find is £15 to £20 which is complete bullcrap if you ask me. To sum it all up, if you can find WaW for a cheap price, then give it a shot, but anything high then don't bother.

Call of Duty 6, hmmm.... well we'll just leave it at that.
