Doom.. a horror game?.. more a FPS Arena shooter... Doom 3 was a horror game..

Assassins creed stayed the same in thier little Box. Whilst games like MGSV, Witcher 3 and alot of new games expanded and gave us a taste and a main course of how amazing open world games can be.

But AC never really Developed more after AC2..

I loved Black Flag because it was different. But maybe because it was the perfect pirate game and not AC?
