I would like a usable walking speed. I don't want to have to always jog five feet to nearby object because the walking speed is slower than a newborn baby's crawl. It would be great is if there are different movement speeds like in Assassin's Creed or The Witcher 3 but I'll take one usable walking speed if that's all I can get.

Oh and let us holster our weapons again.

@BassMan: This is really the safest way to go. It can be very tempting to pre-order something that looks like it'll be amazing but once you've been burned, it's easier to Resist The Pre-Order. And really, what's one more day or two of waiting for reviews?

It's a little sad not having Hayter voice the character. I wish they would've picked someone who isn't as recognizable as Sutherland. I really enjoyed 24 but I don't want to think of Jack Bauer while playing a Metal Gear Solid game. Anyway, I'll definitely be buying this game. It'll most likely be one of the few games I'll buy as soon as it's released.

Before the Xbox360 was released, there were previews of some sci-fi space game that was supposed to be a launch title. The game was delayed, re-worked and years later it became a third person supernatural-type shooter. I think the main character was a C.I.A. agent or something and he ends up with this weird thing on his arm. Anyone know the name of this game?

I first noticed this happening with GTA IV. I had to go out and buy a Xbox 360 gamepad because I couldn't deal with the helicopter controls on the keyboard. My older gamepad wouldn't work with GTA IV. It's sad to see this is still going on.

I like 3rd-person view for walking around. The animations look good & I like the different walking speeds (with a gamepad). They can look a little weird when sneaking around certain environments though. Sometimes 1st-person view is better for sneaking through cramped cooridors. I tend to use 1st-person for fighting. I don't think it looks very good in 3rd person.

I'm about halfway through it. The gameplay is as fun as it was in the 1st one and there are some improvements (not big ones though). It's nice that some movement powers are available right away such as multiple airdashes & gliding, throwing, run & grabs etc. I like the lair missions too. The game is less challenging than the 1st one. I've only leveled up my health once to keep it a little challenging. Maybe it'll get tougher later on.

I agree with the OP. It's lame that they made Mercer into the enemy. I thought he was a decent hero & Barry Pepper (the sniper in Saving Private Ryan) did a good job, methinks. I find myself caring less about the story in Prototype 2. I feel like I'm aimlessly running around and smashing things. The story in the 1st game wasn't amazing or anything but I think it was better.

...and (especially with dark souls), dying doesn't take you too far back. there's still the thrill of having your life at risk, but dying isn't much of a setback. you learned something, and you had fun while it lasted, now go and try again.BrunoBRS
That's good to hear. The starting over part is what kept me from getting into Demons Souls. I liked the difficulty but it wasn't fun that the checkpoints were soooo far apart. This was especially troublesome when encountering a boss for the 1st time. Chances are, if you didn't already know its tactics, you'd die on the first try. and in my case, the second, third, & fourth tries, ha ha!
