As for Sony's approach, I'm gonna have to disagree with your very deluded view on all that. These, uh, 'pissing wars' aren't necessarily a bad thing, in my opinion. It can drive console manufacturers like Sony or Microsoft to acquire and fund first party studios to create better, more interesting IPs. The bad side of this are things like timed exclusivity (which both companies are guilty of), or buyouts like Bethesda or Activision Blizzard.
Obviously the greater of these two evils is the latter. Because what's happening is that Microsoft is buying large multiplatform publishers and instructing them to stop making their games multiplatform, forcing any fans of any franchises these companies publish to, at best, have no option in giving their money to anybody but them for their products, or at worst, shell out money to them to purchase a platform that they manufacture in order to play their favorite games.
I have my own problems with Sony, but tell me when the last time they pulled shit like this on this scale. Instead of shilling for an anti-consumer monopoly, why don't you actually do a bit of research before selling your soul to a faceless corporation that only cares about taking as much money from you as it possibly can?
You see some people go 'Oh my god, NFTs are so dumb, only an idiot would buy into something like that', before seeing these same people honestly believe that the only reason we haven't gotten another Guitar Hero is because fucking ACTIVISION BLIZZARD didn't have the resources.
@xnshd: A company that decides to charge ahead with buying out a company in the middle of a massive lawsuit for widespread sexual harassment (covered up by the CEO they will continue to employ), while failing to address said lawsuit and hoping it'll just blow over, is not a company I would personally want to continue giving my money to and financially supporting.
