Need Help and Advice.

My PC is about 4-5 years old.

Windows 10

i7 4790 3.6Ghz

16 GB Ram

Graphics card below;

Hi, about a month ago my Graphics Card (GTX760 2GB) stop working. I went to a store, bought and had the technicians install a newer Graphics Card - (Geforce RTX 2060 OC 6G).

Ever since then my PC lags every time I start it up (Have to reset manually for it to start with good speed).

The big problem is my PC keeps restarting during certain games. For example PC games such as Oriental Empires, Age of Empires DE, Crusader Kings 2, Mortal Kombat 11. e.g

With other games such as Soulcalibur VI, Darksouls Remastered, Total War Three Kingdoms, Company of Heroes 2 and Hearts of Iron IV - The PC plays them and there is no restarting during gameplay.

There are other games that cause my PC to restart, mainly during game cut scenes - such as Mafia III and Tekken 7 (strange is that it does not happen during gameplay with these game - only when there is a cut scene.

I have taken it back to the store (Three times); the technicians have tested it out with various programs and apparently is working perfect. I have tried re installing Windows 10, Tried installing games on a separate Drive - Drive C instead of D. PC has been cleaned out with no dust. No virus or Malware and Drivers are up to date. Even changed power cable.

What could be the problem; Could it be that maybe I should get a better/ newer power supply? If so what would be something enough for my system...

Sorry for the post; kind of fed up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Please help.

I am thinking of upgrading to the Nvidia ASUS GTX 980 Ti 6GB.

Just a few questions. What is the difference between the versions; ASUS, EVGA, GAIAX, Gigabyte and MSI? Are they just brand names? I have only heard of ASUS.

What is 'overclocking'? Does that harm your PC in the long run?

Is the price $1049 AU fair?

Regarding Windows 10. I have secured my free upgrade; can I postpone my upgrade until the start of next year? Will I still receive it for free?

Also will I have any problem playing older games from Direct X 9 and up?

Thanks.

I am waiting for the newer DirectX12 GPU's to be released. Just a few questions.

How long do you think do we have to wait until they are released?

To access DirectX12, do I have to upgrade to Windows 10, will Windows 10 be a free upgrade if you have Windows 8?

Important, will I have problems playing DirectX10 and Direct X11 games such as Civilization V and Shogun 2 Total War, will they work just as good as they do on Windows 8 and a DirectX11 GPU?

Thanks.

Just a bit confused; which graphic options are the best?

Field of View bar; Is it best to have it on max or completely low?

Anti-Aliasing; which one is best? 2x MSAA, 4x MSAA, 8CSAA, 16x MSAA or 16XQ CSAA?

And, Is Anisotropic 16X, bilinear or Trilinear?

Thanks.

I know you guys are probably busy; but any help would be appreciated.

I am about to pick up a Gaming Desktop; the tower itself is worth $1900 AU. There are a legit bussines; bought a laptop from them a few years back.

  • 4th Generation Intel Core i7 - 4770
  • Nvidia 2GB Asus GTX 760
  • Kingston Ram 16GB DDR3
  • Windows 8 64 bit
  • 1tb HDD Western Digital (Blue), Kingston 128GB SSD
  • CPU Cooler - Corsair H55

I have a few questions.

Is the price fair? How long has the technology been out?

Will I be able to play Rome 2 Total on max settings with no problems? What about the upcoming Call of Duty - Advanced Warfighter and Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain?

If so what what can I increase to achieve the results I want? I am willing to pay another $300 dollars more.

P.S - I keep my computers; I buy one every 5 years.

Thanks Again; if you want you can PM me.

What exactly is this product?

Is it to make your Wii - not the new Wii U - in HD?

Is 8 dollars worth it?

Thanks
