[QUOTE="HardQuor"][QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"] how would you even know that the characters is gay though?marcl18123

This. If it features needless homosexual activity, I would be hard-pressed to say i was being entertained. But if the character's homosexuality never comes into play, who the hell needs to know? I have no idea if Master Chief is gay I don't know if Zoe is a lesbian, or Samus. You know why? because it doesn't impact gameplay. If a game features tasteless sexual activity, homosexual or otherwise, then of course i don't want to be subjected to that (I would never consider buying Leisure Suit Larry, Playboy: The Mansion, BMXXX, DoA: Beach volleyball, or Rumble Roses, either). But if the sexuality isn't a main point of a story, why feature it in the first place?

I never intended for people to believe that homosexuality would be the main aspect of the game; it was more of Mario saving his Prince instead of Princess. Tho depending of the type of games u like, the amount of impact the character sexuality would have on the over game is altered, as of course in a RPGs, there is a heavy focus on the story (most of which involve a love interest).

Fair enough. I think maybe i neglected to make my point clearly. As long as it doesn't effect gameplay or presentation, I don't really care about the sexual orientation of any given character in a game. It's when a game starts to compromise it's class for the sake of sex that I become troubled.

[QUOTE="marcl18123"] first of all them being gay would have to come up in the game at some point I assume??...with that said, if it was a female character..sure I might try it...if it was a dude..honestly I would'nt have any interest in finding out how/why/when it is found that he is gay..that's just the way I am..same reason I've never seen the movie Brokeback Mountain..and I heard it was a good movie [QUOTE="HardQuor"][QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"] how would you even know that the characters is gay though?jJaAmMeEsS2184

BMXXX?? Have you ever played that game? It's actually a pretty good game for when it came out...I would'nt compare it to the others you listed...plus it has a great soundtrack..

I compare it to those titles because, as was most certainly the goal of that game's marketing department, the only thing they chose to make aware to the public was the inclusion of naked boobies. that's called exploitation. Just like any of the other games i listed, they may have redeemable qualities, but they all chose toexploit sex as an marketing strategy. Granted, plenty of titles do the same thing, none do it as explicitly as those titles mentioned above.

there's a lot of controversy surrounding this topic, but ultimately, it's your choice if you want to sell it or not. Besides, 15-25 bucks for a game that would otherwise be sitting on your shelf collecting dust is a good way to keep yourself up to date with newer games while keeping your costs down. Hell, if you're not happy with the offers, you could always do ebay or craigslist.

for me, RB2 has a more rounded tracklist, while GHWT has way more standout tracks (Tool and Sweet Home Alabama ftw!), but a lot of their filler tracks are just terrible (Eye of the Tiger? seriously?), where RB2 doesn't really have anything that cringe-worthy.

Orange Box - Team Fortress 2. I actually prefer the console version over pc, for the level ground (hard to keep up with everyone else when your pc only runs at 20 some-odd frames per second)

I saw this on stumbleupon, I also saw a similar page through stumbelupon a few weeks ago where it talked about a some sort of particle where there's two particles and when you move one the other one moves simultaneously no matter how far the distance is between them, was an interesting read. Brainkiller05
Are you sure about the linked particles? Because that's the critical element of sci-fi writer, Orson Scott Card's ansible machine. A machine that facilitates superluminal data transmission. I think you may have been reading an article about his fictional element: the philote.

Here's a video of the working Antikythera mechanism. Also, while not being solved as to their origins, the giant balls of Costa Rica have been proven to be perfectly man-made. Trying to find a link.

Must be an old article, the Antikythera mechanism has been recreated, and they found that it's a calendar of sorts. One of the dials on it kept track of Olympic schedule.
A new paper from the Antikythera Mechanism Research Project (AMRP) is published in the prestige science journal Nature on July 31st 2008. It reveals surprising results on the back dials of the Antikythera Mechanism - including a dial dedicated to the four-year Olympiad Cycle of athletic games in ancient Greece. The Antikythera Mechanism Project

I liked it so much, I'm buying the DVD tomorrow. It was cheesy, but I like almost-bad movies.cr4zychri5
It wasn't "almost-bad" it was just bad. like everyone said here, the first half of the movie was great. then there's the big reveal, and then they force what should be a completely separate movie's worth of plot into the remaining half hour/45 minutes. Not to mention that the direction it went was just so GD cheesy and comic-like. I figure most people were intrigued by the trailer because it was the antithesis of what all the comic book movies were turning out to be, a fresh take on the genre. I think the reason so many people hated it was because of that, they went in one direction, then did a 180 halfway through the movie.
