They got the first 2 right, no doubt about that.

Also does anyone find it kind of funny they decide to announce this halfway through December.
"Black Mesa will be released in 2010"
Gee, y'think?
Anyway, I am looking forward to it, and I can wait, despite my previous comment.
But still, these people seem dedicated to their hobby, and I know people that can build entire cars on a tiny budget faster than these guys can remake a game.

Sooooo looking forward to this game.
The only thing we need to be concerned about, really, is the story. Everything else; the gameplay, the mechanics, the engine, the animation; will be top class! German-style :D
This, i think, is just clever marketing to make PC gamers think that the developers actually care about them.
I'll be very surprised if this isn't released on consoles.
I hope i'm wrong though.
Speaking solely of the First Person Shooter genre, one could argue that the development of a the non-linear, more sandbox type environment has been an improvement or, at least, something different and evolutionary.
But, in terms of the way that a game is actually presented, i don't think there's been a really major innovation since Half-Life imo.
Initally it was Star Wars: Dark Forces that made me appreciate what the PC had to offer.
But it was the original Grand Theft Auto that convinced me i had to have one! :D
