@josh7845 I agree with most of what you have said.. however:

"The whole game has "couldn't be arsed" written all over it. "
I think the game was rushed out, which also explains the many bugs.

@suplax Could it be that we actually expect more from a Batman game?

@julianboxe @Halbermunken @rishabhmonga Nothing dull about it at all. He's gonna wipe everyone out, he has visions he wants fullfilled, he has motivations. It was predictable that Joker would get involved in Origins.

@julianboxe How is it a good story when the plot is told already in the beginning? It's a bad decision by the devs, there is no real mystery to it and the bad guys are basically hired mercs... no real motivation behind their actions.

@rishabhmonga Tell me, in which world is a story line good if the story is revealed in the beginning? In City you didn't know what protocol 10 was until much later... The sneak levels in Origins are abysmal, all very easy and all very similar...it's not a challenge.

@Casuallad @martydoherty IGN

"Batman by numbers." and "The Verdict

Batman games are like pizza: even when they’re not very good, they’re still pretty good. Next to Arkham City, Arkham Origins is a bit of a disappointment in its lack of new ideas and use of win buttons, making it the least interesting of the trilogy. But as excuses to dive back into the excellent free-flowing combat and predator takedowns go, this story isn’t bad. "

@rsawyers It's nowhere near as good as City. The stealth for instance in this game is a joke. And the story is told from the beginning which is a major mistake. Who knew in Arkham City what Protocol 10 was? It remained a mystery for a long time, and that's a good thing. Also, Batman's foes are mostly basically hired mercinaries, they do not have a history with Batman before.

@Kairysama No, it's exactly the other way around. The graphics are worse (including performance), the combat is more sluggish, the story is poor because it is reveaved from the beginning and the levels are subpar especially the stealth levels which are a compete joke.

@komuchen @Halbermunken @fernandofan08 @Lpedraja2002 Actually the game does tell about 30 minutes in what the plot is. Assassins are after Batman, 8 of them. The plot twist is revealed later, Joker is involved but anyone who read a bit previews knows that Joker was involved in this game already too. AC was not rushed, it's tremendously polished compared to this game which has a city-section which feels incredibly empty. The remote grapple makes it easy to take care of any enemy in the game, you don't have to be close to the enemy to get them hanging from those gargoyles. It's essentially a win button as said. The IGN review points this out too. The build up to protocol 10 was great, because nobody knew what it was. And to stop it you had to get to the top of that tower and that is just damn good batman gaming.
