@nothingformoney @GyroGate I actually like the story. You only get small fragments of it, but I'm actually interested in learning more about it. In Elder Scrolls, they force the story down your throat with gigantic spoons dressed as "storyline" or "npc dialogue" - where they use the same actor for 80% of the characters.
This has to be the worst review I have read so far. The fact that Haywald made mistakes on his first playthrough and almost demands someone to hold his hand throughout the game speaks volumes for itself. I booted up Dark Souls 2 without playing DS 1 without running into these problems. I am used to speaking to NPCs several times and figuring things out for myself, but then again - I grew up with games like Zelda, a Link to the past and Final Fantasy 6 & 7. You know, back when you couldn't just google "how to kill this boss" or "how do I stop sucking at video games?".
I would suggest Haywald to go back to games like World of Warcraft or Skyrim, where story and challenge doesn't matter.
A shame people like Justin Haywald get to review games.
Unless they are fighting aliens, I am so not gonna watch White House Down. And what's with the graphics on the helicopters, looks like the green marines from toystory. Sheesh!
