[QUOTE="Granpire"][QUOTE="Guaracy-"]] I suppose it's the best option then? What I mean is, MH is probably my favorite franchise, but I was never a big fan of handhelds. And I also don't have an MP4 player, which is something I really want. So I thought the PSP Go would be the best choice I could make. Seeing as it can play videos and music.

Besides buying a Wii and some other portable media player, it's your only option. The cheapest as well. But I'd look at some other great games as well, if you're going to buy a PSP and just limit yourself to Monster Hunter, you're missing out.

Thanks, this is what I wanted to know. And I might get some other games, but the only reason I'd get a PSP is for MH. Plus, I don't like how they don't have bows, dual swords, hunting horns and gunlances in the Wii version. One game I really think about getting is Mortal Kombat Unchained. A friend of mine has it, and I love MK.

[QUOTE="Granpire"][QUOTE="Guaracy-"]Been a long time since I posted in these here forums, and I'm glad to see there's a sticky about this. Here's the deal: I really want a portable handheld (and I absolutely LOVE the Monster Hunter franchise) and by portable i mean REALLY portable. Like, phone portable. So I was thinking of getting the PSP Go, because it has a lot of internal memory if I wanna store music in it too, which is entirely likely. My main focus isn't gaming, though I do wanna be able to play Monster Hunter every once in a while. So to sum it up: I want Monster Hunter I want a portable MP4 player I don't want a portable gaming device Dont tell me to get a Wii because that's really not plausible right now for reasons I'm not gonna explain because it'd take too long. Anyway, is the Go a good purchase for me, considering my needs?

It's a strange problem you have, you want to play Monster Hunter, but you don't want a portable gaming device? The PSP Go is a portable gaming device, but it will let you play Monster . It plays mp4s pretty well too(what with the 16GB memory), but keep in mind you have to convert all your videos, which takes a while. Generally, converting takes a little shorter than the video, but that's not a problem if you can do it overnight. The only problem is, if you want to import Monster Hunter Portable 3 (the best version), you'd pretty much be out of luck. But I don't know if you're into importing Japanese games.

I suppose it's the best option then? What I mean is, MH is probably my favorite franchise, but I was never a big fan of handhelds. And I also don't have an MP4 player, which is something I really want. So I thought the PSP Go would be the best choice I could make. Seeing as it can play videos and music.

[QUOTE="Conjuration"]

I probably won't get it. I got COD 4, W@W, and MW2. That's enough. I think it's a great franchise, with great innovations and changes with every instalment; but I'm done. At least for now.

I'll probably skip on the next one as well because honestly: I prefer the Treyarch games. I'm not anti-IW, but the Treyarch games have always ran smoother, and they have a slightly different $tyle at I prefer.

JasonDarksavior

lol...IMO Black Ops does not run smoother when compared to MW 2. But I don't want to start any flame wars or anything so I'll keep it at that.

Well W@W ran a lot smoother than CoD4, I can tell you that. And I agree with you on the previous post: As long as it's fun, I'll buy it. I just don't see why that's so hard to understand.

Absolutely not. I stopped after MW2. There is no support from developers, overpriced DLC, casual twitch shooter gameplay with no teamwork as well as the P2P lag. How can you sleep at night giving Bobby Kottik money? If COD gamers would open their eyes to new FPS's they would benefit greatly. Besides, Battlefield 3, KZ3, R2 and Homefront all look great.

I do open... God, why is it that everyone thinks Call of Duty is bad, and just because we fans like it means we don't like any other shooter? Damn, that's annoying. I loved R6 vegas 2, I liked KZ2, Resistance 2 was absolutely jaw-dropping, Homefront looks mediocre, I must say... Brink looks really cool too. BF3 will be awesome, I will definitely get it for PC. But, again... CoD is my favorite FPS franchise. Why is that a bad thing?

I will most likely be getting it. What is it? MW3? Although, I will also be getting KZ3. That's a no-brainer.trav_have
I believe it's MW3... Development on that game is confirmed to have started, although I'm not sure if it's been delayed to 2012 due to the IW and Activision drama.

a no name developer who never worked on a premier shoot will be at the helm. IW is a shell of it's former self, all the best tatlent from the studio is now at respwan.

If you mean Sledgehammer Games, they're not the ones developing next year's FPS CoD... Not sure if you're aware. But anyway, I'm not saying I DEFINITELY will. Obviously not, since I haven't seen the game yet. But I probably will. I don't know anything about game developing but I'm sure Infinity Ward is still a competent studio, no worries there.

I think next year's will be the definitive CoD. Black Ops scratched the surface on innovating, and I think next year's game will definitely be what Black Ops could not, and will solidify its premise while closing the CoD cycle for me. I love the series, but it has to end some time. I will only buy it if it's still set in a realistic world, of course. If it decides to go "Future Warfare" or "Space Battles!" I will cry for the franchise. Yes, I'm a shameless fan of Call of Duty.

Black Ops... Best Call of Duty yet. Although I can safely say it won't be my last CoD, and I can almost surely say next year will be the one that will close my endless CoD purchases. I just don't think they've quite accomplished everything they could with the franchise, but Black Ops was almost there.

is it a dualshock controller or those cheap ps3 controllers that suckJ_VandaI
Dualshock lol I thought the sixaxis was awesome, light as it was. Pretty good to wave around in Rag Doll Kung Fu. But anyway, I found out there's a little reset button, which is awesome. Thanks anyways :)
