Filmmaking 101: the artistic direction a film will follow is known waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before any production starts. After that it is just adjustments. So their "big gap" to bridge is complete BS. That kennedy seems to be a complete control freak doesn't hurt either. At least she gave Johnson a trilogy. Provided that The Last Jedi doesn't disappoint I will be looking forward to it.
@Bread_or_Decide: They're both horrible is what his saying but these days brandishing the hammer and sickle seems to get a free pass even if Mao and Stalin killed 60 million of their people.
@mattcake: Speak for yourself. GTA4 was, for me , a big freaking snooze. I attempted to play it two times and always gave up around the 12-15 hour mark. Frustrated beyond belief that I had to couldn't put a bullet in that cousin brain and that I only had 15K$ in my pocket. Meanwhile a game like Just Cause 2 came along and let me strap C4 to a plane and fly it into an enemy stronghold pretty much right from the get go.
5 is a big step in the right direction even though it is a big empty world with not much to do.
Can't speak for RDR as I am not a console player, hopefully the sequel will be coming to PC.
With only two two-hour movies it is not the only scene that will be left out. I am pretty that sure the subplot where a 10 year old gets his throat slit by the creature from the black lagoon will not make the cut. I don't expect any of the Derry flashback chapters to be there, which is areal shame because the Black Spot and the Bradley Gang were amazingly written.
Not to mention that the Turtle and the trip across the universe will most likely not be there as well, too sophisticated for a general audience.
I am not holding my breath at all for this version...
Mena was one of my lead in my second short film, Final Exam, which I just finished a couple of months ago. I am very proud of him. This guys works frigging hard and deserves all the success he can get.
