Well can't say I share the same concerns as Kevin after seeing that video. Comfortable and familiar is something I haven't seen a while in an RPG. As someone that grew up playing the SSI CRPGs and then Infinity engine based RPGs...it has been a long time since I'v had this feeling. I'm very much looking forward slipping into this classic but new game from the some of the creators of classics such as Fallout 2, PS:T and Icewind Dale.
@roler42 @Gooeykat Not really, I still love exploring the city, but have the icons their to tell me where the activities are is just more convenient (e.g. If I wanna race, I know where to go...I don't have to search around the map trying to find a race).
Eh, sorry don't agree with Danny this time. Just because it has icons and make it convenient for the player to find all the fun activities, doesn't ruin the surprise. I guess I'm not much into exploring in these types of games. RPGs like Skyrim, exploring feels natural, but in GTA style game...nah, just give a map with all the cool stuff to do and I'll go have some fun.
