Well...the game is a remake of an older Castlevania game, "Rondo of Blood". At that time Castlevania games were level based, not an open map. There are different roots in some levels that will lead to alternate levels but thats about it. The game does include a port of "Symphony of the Night" which would be more what your looking for. If you look up "hints" on GameSpot for Dracula X Chronocles they should have a walkthrough on how to get it.

I would have to go with MGS4. It has an awesome single player mode (that I must have played through 4-5 times) and the online is great too. Not to say that CoD 4 is bad, I mean that was a good game in it's own right, I just feel that I got alot more from MGS4. Also I prefer a third-person shooter to a first-person one.

Agreed, it is a matter of taste and the DS may not be for everyone. Just stick with what you like.

To be honest I would have to agree with you. I haven't really been WOW'ed by any recent DS games. If you are not into RPG's or puzzle-like games then I can see how the market can look dry, My advise would be look into some of the platformers. The Castlevania Games are solid, Megaman ZX, Contra 4, and Metal Slug 7 are good for side-scrolling shooters, Custom Robo is good for an arena third-person like shooter. Also I would recommend Ninja Gaiden as an action game. It's touch screen heavy but It's surprisingly simple and fun. You can't really 100% trust the reviews because each person's tastes are different. If a game intrests you see if there are any videos of it and check out the gameplay or see if it has a demo, either on Nintendo Channel or at a game store, most of them have it now and nothing is better than playing a game yourself and making your own decision.

I got the silver one and sold Daxter. I can't stand games that use the analog stick! Ever since I got my slim can't put it down where as I never touched my old one. I guess I owe that to Castlevania and Radiant mythology.

For he most part I find that at home I tend to play my SP more often than any other hand-held, however whenever I am out I always carry my micro with me, it's just too convenient. I would say if you play games on-the-go, like work or school, a lot get a micro otherwise I think the SP is good. Both are cheap and are much better for games like Castlevania than the orginal GBA.

Good collection. Definitely get Castlevania. I'd say 8.5.
