Wtf? - I bought mine just as my local store (GameSpot/EBgames) was closing, the night before Halo 3 launch MWAHHA. There were like 6 people sitting with seats and stuff infront of the store. They were gabbing back and forth, but when I walked passed them with that PS3 box. They all got dead silent XD.
Despite what some people may think on this message board, GameSpot is not biased. GameSpot actually underrates 360 games just as much... if not more than PS3 games (if I run into the thread that did an evaluation of this again, I'll edit and link it in here). In any case, third party titles usually score higher on 360 mostly because of the smoother frame rate. Even now developers are having difficulty developing games for the PS3 (obviously seen through PES and Madden). This fact though shouldn't deter you from your PS3 purchase however. just because the PS3's graphics aren't the best, it does not mean it isn't good anymore. And there is always MGS4 and FFXIII to play when they are released. On a side note, you said you're really into Grand Theft Auto. It has been confirmed that the 360 will have exclusive content, thus it is expected that the 360 version will score higher in comparison to the PS3. That's it.ZOnikJJ
Dirt & Oblivion both run better on the PS3. I know for a fact the 360 version of Oblivion is scored higher then the PS3. (on gamespot) The PS3 has exclusive content too, for GTA IV. Each has specific content only that console will have. Read the fine text in those articles.
It's expected that GS is biased, the moderators already stated a long the lines that the PS3 will have to impress them more for a better rating (compaired to other sites). Games on the PS3 will only get better ratings on other consoles. (The mods also stated that nobody -cares about/looks at- the reviews)
