@Pierce_Sparrow: If the game was just cut scenes, I’d rather just read a visual novel. I played Final Fantasy because I like turn-based combat and the music of Nobuo Uematsu; unfortunately neither are around anymore. Most of the best games in the series didn’t even have cut scenes (IV,V,VI) and the ones that did weren’t even voiced (IX).
@sebb: The Personas, SMTs and Yakuza Like a Dragon. If you want something with a more realistic graphic style start with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, if you want something more anime style I'd say go Persona 4 Golden or Persona 5 Royal.
The fact that this game bails on stuff from new Mario Party entries and brings things back to how they were in the N64 era is a pro not a con. I hated most recent Mario Party games and I'm glad most of the recent additions outside of a small number of mini-games are gone and that they've instead gone back to how things were back when Mario Party was still fun.
I was proud of X-Box for not making diversity the theme of their E3 presentation and just focusing on games. Seems I should have known better. Looks like Nintendo is the only one that actually just cares about putting out good fun games and is professional enough to leave divisive identity politics out of its entertainment products.
@johnny0779: While I'm not into it personally, Nintendo also owns Pokemon which is by far the most popular RPG worldwide.
Also, it really doesn't matter if Nintendo or Sony owns the company or not if the game is not coming out on X-Box or I have to wait year/s to play them. The fact that I need a PS4 to play Persona 5 was enough of a reason for me to buy a PS4 over an X-Box. FF7 Remake still isn't on X-Box a year later and it took them nearly 4 years to get Octopath Traveller away from NIntendo, or a year to get Nier from Sony.
The bottom line is that X-Box is largely only getting the big Western RPGs and I have no interest in those.
@johnny0779: You do realize Nintendo Owns Monolithsoft and Intelligent Systems has not made a game on a non-Nintendo system since its founding in 1983, aside from the Nintendo published gacha Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile.
@johnny0779: I didn't know that Microsoft bought Sega/Atlus, Monolithsoft, Inteligent Systems or Square Enix. Those are the only RPG studios I care about. Right now, Nintendo probably has the best RPG offerings of anyone. Unless the big JRPGs go to X-Box, I can't see myself picking up an X-Box. If they get Persona 6, I may consider them over a PS5, but until then I'm sticking with Switch and PS4.
