I'am trying to reformat a toshiba laptop with a windows xp setup disk. During the first step for reformatting (when there's a blue screen), the setup will run for about 3 seconds then stop and say a system file iastor.sys could not be found. What does this mean? I know it's not the CD because I used it only a week ago and it worked.

[QUOTE="GIGAKILL"]

intel and amd are still neck and neck with their processors but amd has much better prices on their processors. an intel processor with the same performance can be $50+ compared to amd

inyourface_12

you sir are a blatant fanboy who will not admit that you can get an intel processor for under 100 bucks that aces all of the x2 4XXX series and if your spending more the e4xxx series trumps all of those in price/performance. so get off of your ways

well, you don't have to be an ass about it, i dont really keep up to date with this stuff as you might. but really it seems like you get a lot more with an X2 4400+ than the E4400, and they're the same price.

go with amd's athlon 64 X2 series, you'll over pay if you get an intel processor that has the same performance as an amd X2. Newegg is having some very good deals on amd X2's, the 5000+ models are a real good buy, i just built a computer with a 5600+ and it runsbeautifully, at a very good price too.

probably around 1500, but you can do better with the ram and motherboard, you should go with DDR2 800, and an nVidianForce 590 SLI. Newegg is having a great deal on Patriot ram of that type in 2gb kits, you should check that out. they also have a seagate hard drive that's 320gb and only $80, and its the best rated hard drive they have on the site, thats a great deal too.
