Is it really a hinderance or just a means of maintaining viability in the market by putting out SOMETHING? What other projects would these developers be working on? Take Gearbox for example. They developed Duke Nukem and Colonial Marines to finance a better project, Borderlands 2. Were their hands really tied behind their backs or was it an economic move to keep food on the table while they work on their dream app? If so, my only criticism is that they dropped the ball on the former, and now their company's name is associated with garbage, as well as perfection. And so it goes.

@PeejayYeh @FlakeyCrust This might be a true generalization as all developers have to see the bigger picture economically, but game developers are a collective team of artists who are also gamers. I could go on about all this, but it's late and I have to get up early.

I had Skyrim and sold it after Bethesda dropped the ball on PS3 DLC. Yes, it was great, and had I been able to play the DLC I would agree it's the greatest game of this gen. But I have to say Borderlands 2 was the best and that's from still playing in True Vault Hunter mode. I haven't even touched any of the DLC yet, and probably won't buy another game till I finish Tiny Tina's DLC, and by then I should have my PS4. Sony, you keep right on pushing Microsoft to step up, because I intend on having both systems by the time Halo 5 comes out, so it better be good and it better be comparable to the PS4 which I will acquire first. I love Nintendo, I hate the Wii U, not going there. I don't care to use stolen ROMS in my 3DS's but then again Nintendo has no leg to stand on when they are not giving gamers what they really want, especially after showing us what they are capable of doing. Ocarina of Time is a perfect example, but now where is Majora's Mask? Despite some great games that work for others, I don't really see anything in the E-Shop I want, so my dollar is going to Sony over the next year for sure. Maybe if they start releasing more N64 titles in 3D (Majora's Mask, Banjo Kazooie, Turok) I will spend more of my dollar with them. But the E-shop is flooded with Virtual Console games and cheap phone apps that do not truly show off the power of the platform. Even the lineup of Classic 3D titles have not changed since I got my first 3DS in Christmas of 2011. Nintendo is dropping the ball big time and it just screams bait and switch Nintendo. Bait and Switch. So why should I buy a Wii U on the hopes that good games will come out for it, when good games are not coming out for the 3DS? I'm done with Nintendo.

@viewjet Amping up crossplay with a bundle would not be stupid. The folks selling their Vita's would be the stupid ones. I sold my Vita last spring and regret doing so but needed the money. Now I can get a new one with my PS4. Looking forward to the gaming options to be had.

Disney is becoming a dinosaur. They can't keep up with the changes being made by indie developers on popular devices. They can't own the theaters like they did back in the day, and with their resorts and amusement parks and merch which feed the D-Beast, the digital markets are breaking free from that kind of control, and the money is like someone exploded a bag of marbles and they can't pick them up fast enough because they've gotten too big and fat. So now this dude whines about how "bad" it is. Well, not for the little guys who are nailing big returns on original apps that can be sold cheap through iTunes and Google, etc. Thank God Disney doesn't own the internet or else we would see them throttling these pioneers who can't be owned because technology has liberated the artist from the confines of the sweatshop. /soapbox.

@crunchb3rry Well Microsoft is a software company first and foremost. They merely work around the parameters of the hardware developers, so they will never make great strides in what is going to happen next, they have just gotten into the hardware market to give new software engineers a platform to work in, in exchange for exclusive content (depending on contract) and licensing to the Microsoft brand, a billion dollar tattoo on one's game I might ad. Let's face it, very few big developers are going to publish on just one console, so Sony and Microsoft both will have plenty of exclusives. The question is, will you be jealous of them because you can't afford both consoles? So far I've been about 80% satisfied to have just one console, but then again I never got to play indie games like FEZ or Meatboy till I got an Xbox. I missed Halo for seven years, but I knew I would play the follow up titles eventually, because I was patient and enjoying my PS3. But you're right, the unions are falling apart. Kinda sad, but we all need to be good to each other. Money is the root of all evil.

@Monsterkillah They screwed the pooch on the first Killzone. I was not happy with it, and haven't bought another in the series since. Just felt it was under par. I am glad they have that as an alternative, but the FPS format is getting old, which is why Borderlands and BL2 pretty much own me right now. Killzone may get good reviews but I'm not at all interested.

@PosiTVEMinD355 @Pr0ving4Gr0undz The PS3 will take an external drive that's formatted for Fat32, which means that there is a filesize limit of 4gb. This means a single file cannot be larger than 4gb, and for larger drives over a Terrabyte, this can cause performance issues as most drives larger than a few hundred gigs do not as efficient in Fat32. Still this isn't such a problem unless you're ripping HD video streams. So my guess is the PS4 will take an external drive. I just hope they recognize NTFS and not some proprietary format.
