We got a really good movie in the 80's followed by a lackluster retread far too soon and a divisive reboot far too late. Can't we all agree to leave well enough alone, just this once?
If the hundreds of videos showcasing 76's flaws and bugs are to be believed, then the game should never have been released in this state, period. Even if Bethesda was just trying to build a cash generator for the "normies" to latch onto and pump money into, the quality of their IP and their consumer trust has taken a nosedive because of it. Then again, if millions really are playing and it's only the couple hundred thousand longtime fans that are noticing how bad the game is, Bethesda doesn't have much incentive to change course. Welcome to the new normal, I guess.
We can always enjoy the fact that we got three decent Star Wars films up until the 80's--they can't take that from us. It's just a shame that Kennedy's supporters can't see through the awful mess that was TLJ. If you want a female lead and a black Skywalker (or whatever Finn's supposed to be), that's fine--Sigourney Weaver showed in 1979 that women could crush it in sci-fi, and John Boyega has great potential. But damn, if you want to be part of the fan base, you gotta demand better than this Disney drivel. These movies are getting frustratingly bad, and it's time you removed the binders and saw that.
