If you're gonna dedicate resources to making a CG animated film, why not create something new and leave the good stuff as it was? These remakes and reboots are so tired and lazy... did creativity suddenly vanish from the industry?
Thank goodness. These sequels have done nothing to build on the originals except to crap on the fans for no other reason than we knew a good Star Wars film from a bad one. To all the newcomer fans--you reap what you sew I guess.
Can't we just leave the universe as it was? We got 7 great books, 7 okay movies, and a fun supplemental lore website from it--these new movies just feel unnecessary.
Not normally one for the whole "baww there's only two genders in my game" mentality, but in this case it's weird that it's not an option. In ancient Greece, male-male pairings were as much of a norm as saying 'bless you' when someone sneezes. Lesbianism was a different story, but gay relationships were everywhere--look at Achilles and Patroclus.
