When I try to find a game it says something like can not find any games at this moment. Has everyone quit or what?

Ran disk defragmenter, and deleted unwanted programs, seemed to do the trick, haven't lagged since!

I started lagging really badly today on diablo 2. My ping could be as low as 30 then spike up to 2000 or even 4000. My computer can handle this game just find, so its not the graphics card or anything like that. Its getting to the point where lag spikes are with in 5 seconds of eachother. Also sometimes after I leave a game it comes up with the message, please wait, and take about a minute to finally bring me up to the chat room. I am using wireless, but I played d2 just fine before with wireless. Help please :(

Are you connected through a router? Have you tried port forwarding? I remember having similar problems when GTA IV came out. My NAT showed as "Open", and all other games seemed to work fine, but GTA would not connect in multiplayer, or would just sit there forever trying. Eventually I forwarded the ports on my router and everything worked fine after.

Actually im connected through my laptop, and yes my NAT is open. and whats port fowarding? :P

Even after the patch I am still getting the error message relating to being removed from the session. Then when loading to a new session it takes for ever to find a new session with out getting the error message when loading. Is anyone still having the problem? Even after the patch?
