It's about time we got some news about release dates on Wii U games, not to mention 3DS games! I'm looking at Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter, Castlevania, and Luigi's Mansion. Can't wait!
@thegedden @Sefrix @Kenshin0011 You sound like you're trying to say the PS3 didn't have a rocky start, and without question, it did. You could find PS3's wherever you went before Christmas and after, and that includes both skus that were launched. The $599 and $499 price tag for the 60 and 20 gig skus shooed away many consumers, regardless of Blu-ray capability.
Truly, this system is awesome, and as more people play it, I believe it will pick up steam. I was super skeptical before I bought it, but it is WAY better than I thought it would be. The system truly has tons of potential. Having said all that, I do not believe it will sell anywhere close to what the Wii has sold, and will not repeat the crazy weird success that system has had.
@Lach0121 @FLEEBS Kudos to you, Lach0121, for reading the article, but those quotes in my previous post are copy and paste DIRECTLY from the article. Eddie (the author of the article), or some other Gamespot employee/moderator ABSOLUTELY edited the original article to include "high definition" in the first sentence. One who posts in comments can't edit one's post five minutes after posting, so I did not have the power to change it. The original article is evidenced in my previous post, and you can believe me or not, but it's completely true. My minor in English also helps to comprehend what I'm reading and know what I'm writing.
"The PlayStation 3 is now the reigning king of the console market, if one report proves to be accurate. The International Data Corporation this week published a study that states worldwide PS3 shipments (77 million)..."
...and at the end:
"If the Wii U does achieve that mark, it will not even come close to edging out the original Wii, which to date has sold over 97 million units."
It's ridiculous that this article says the PS3 is the reigning king of the console market by shipping only 77 million units and then states that the Wii has SOLD over 97 million units. I understand that the 360 and the PS3 are in a different league than the Wii, and I'm not supporting the Wii, but the Wii certainly is a console. Great way to contradict your own article, Eddie.
