[QUOTE="ccgod"] If I didn't have my graphics cranked up to full AAx6 HDR and everything max I would well surpass the 360 version in performance

I have my game cranked up to high settings and looking even better than the Xbox 360 game does on an HDTV, but yeah at the cost of performance. I'm pretty sure the Xbox 360 game is locked in at 30fps? I get a higher average framerate than 30fps, but outdoors it can run in the 20's sometimes when fighting. It's still very fluid and playable though.

HI, just wanted to post my impressions of Oblivion after the first several hours of playing. I have a pretty fair gaming PC (specs in sig) which I just built myself a few days ago. It can easily handle Oblivion on maximum settings with an average 30-40fps indoors, 20-35fps outdoors. I find these ratings very playable, but the issue is that during some of the fights outdoors the framerate can dip into the single digits, and that's no good. I've found a sweet spot with High settings w/ HDR @ 1440 x 900 and get a modest framerate like before, but it's a more constant feel without as many dips in the heavier scenes. I have spent a couple hours with the main story, but I just can't get enough of adventuring. I really like exploring into the sun (HDR eye-candy) seeing the light shine brightly off my blade, and the chainmail armor so sharp and detailed. I thought the voice acting was excellent aswell. I have the game looking even better than the Xbox 360 version. Hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing the 7600GT. Very happy with game performance (again, High settings w/ HDR @ 1440 x 900), especially for a $200 video card.
