@WelshyHawk It was mine as well. In fact, it was my first ever RPG. Funny thing is that when I looked at the trailer, I thought it was an action game, I didn't even know what RPGs were back then.
I spent $50 and within minutes of playing it, I was pretty pissed. I thought the turn based gameplay was ridiculous and it took me months to give it a second shot.
To this day, I can't believe that this one game changed my whole perception of video games as just a simple pass time to a potentially unforgettable experience.
This game's engaging characters, engrossing story, and wonderful soundtrack, (especially the main theme)...is something that will always have a place in my heart.
I'm trying to convince myself to buy this game, but considering that the protagonist is a child, I can't see myself enjoying the story. The story supposedly touches mature themes - depression, abuse, etc., but it's rated E so I can't see how it can possibly delve into these subject matters while appealing to it's targeted audience, which seems to be children.
I just don't know what to make of this game. For anyone whose 18 or older, is this game worth a buy?
