Also, just culturally speaking, someone's race, gender, identity, whatever -- need not be "celebrated." It can simply be. Perhaps your issue was not getting to know the character herself. Most would empathize with this perspective.
At this rate, Microsoft will buy up Ubisoft next.... You know, buying up companies 5 years after their last decent game and all....
Just kidding M$, we still love you. I have my Steam Deck, after all. What's that? It doesn't run Windows? Uh oh...
Again I jest. Competition is good for consumers, and if you put enough monkeys in a room, one of them will eventually make a good game, and Microsoft will buy that company after the monkey dies.
If you don't see how MMOs can suck you in, or think MMOs can only attract people with no lives or lack of life experience, you have a lot to learn about the way people are attracted to things.
To those who want to travel the world, climb mountains, and leave their mark, an MMO is just another adventure one should experience before they die.
I've had my fill and now prefer the world travelling thing, but I would rarely consider my time in MMOs wasted -- except WoW, that one was kind of soulless.
