The visual novel genre is a well established genre that goes back a while (with many notable hits). They tell stories in ways no other medium can (some I've played literally could not be told in any other format). The only reason the TC is freaking out is because they have limited exposure to all the visual novels out there (many of which are not at all erotic).

Also as I understand it that visual novel isn't an eroge (erotic game). Erotic visual novels don't get printed for licensed consoles/handhelds. It's tacitly understood that if you are making a visual novel with erotic content you can only really publish it for PC.

Also TC. Some of us are adults.  That means we can enjoy erotic content in the context of fantasy (be it rape, incest, a little kinky S&M or what have you) responsibly without supporting questionnable practices in reality.  The fact that people have trouble grasping that concept suggests to me something very worrying about their lack of self-control (please take away the temptation, I can't help myself!).

Zero series continually slow less and less Zero only had a breif moments where he was more popular than X, the majority of fans would rather have X in a 3D shloter or in a 16-bit rebbot.

Also, the story would not have made more sense if X5 ended the series, the longer Megaman fans go without games the more they think Inafune who drove the series to the gorund and spammed it to death with 15 games in one gen(not including the 3 X games other than the PSP one), is some kind of hero.

X4 and x3 already had holes, X5 was random as hell and made next to no sense, X6's ending made more sense going into the Zero series in X5 lol.
