i'm buying a new 360 to replace my old launch 20gb model. is using a memory card the best way to get my saves from my old hard drive to my new hard drive? when i launch my console for the first time should i do a recover gamertag? and of course that license transfer thing to transfer all the live arcade games/demos/videos/etc? i think that's everything i need to do but it still feels like i'm missing something...

what a bunch of babies. i feel like i'm watching the forum version of my super sweet sixteen with the amount all you people are crying about this. WAAH, it's not HARDCORE enough! i dont know, i think it looks like a massive improvement. as far as the avatars go, i could seriously care less. is it going to affect my gaming experience? no. is it going to bother me so much that it'll make me want to sell my 360 and buy a PS3 (like some people have already stated)? no, not one bit.

none of the whining makes any sense to me. i thought people bought consoles for the games. instead they get worked up over something like this. i have to say, gamers have to be the biggest whiners i've EVER encounted. nothing is ever good enough for them. sure it may challenge companies to innovate and do bigger and better and whatnot, but guaranteed, when those games are released, all that is going to resound in the forums is more whining and crying. just like a small child at the checkout.

dude..calm down...its a forum. the place where you make and share opinions. everyone has a right to make suggestions and discuss there likes and dislikes. companies listen to people. the fans cried about not being able to transfer files to the elite console and M$ granted us with a free transfer cable. replacing gamerpics that we paid for with avatars is not cool.

gamerpics aren't going to be replaced. watch the fall update interview in the e3 live section and major nelson said those aren't going to be done away with. and i didnt say you couldn't share your opinions. of course i respect and encourage people to share opinions i just wish it was in a much less whiny tone and without calling everything annouched "the worst idea ever."

i dont even play with the mic plugged in anymore. it's MUCH more fun to play when you can't hear screaming their head off for no reason.

im with this guy, if i buy a new 360, i want to be sure it's going to be the jasper model. i've heard to check the wattage on the box? the xenon required 203w while the falcon required 175w. i would assume the jasper would require even less if the chips are smaller and require less power. can anybody confirm any of this?

you know, the avatars are optional. you don't have to make one. so stop your hissy fits.

i would think the memory card is the best way to do that. you can probably find them on ebay or someplace else for under $20. i'm only guessing though, i have not tried to do this myself, but it makes the most sense.

too human isn't on the list, but that's the one im looking forward to now. it's that futuristic/sci-fi action-rpg style with lots of loot that i was hoping hellgate: london would deliver for me but didn't. this looks to have that same gameplay element and atmosphere and looks very promising.

so i've been thinking about getting a new 360 but i've got i don't know which one to get. now that the 20gb is $300, should i get that model or wait until the 60gb model comes out in august/september?

i've heard rumors about the new jasper chipset being included in the 60gb model which is apparently smaller and therefore less noisy and not as hot. also the hard drive would help for when the fall update comes out and i can then load games onto that drive. but the jasper chipset thing is only a rumor, there is no official confirmation and i'd be going off what some random "sources" say.

however, the 20gb models are cheaper, but i don't know how long they've been sitting at my local best buy. they could have been manufactured in 2006 for all i know (which means they would still be noisy and have a higher chance of failing).

so, opinions on what i should do? i'm leaning towards waiting for the 60gb model ATM.

herein lies the problem. when i was talking to the guy he asked me if it was getting the RROD. and me in all my stupidity and integrity said it wasn't getting that. so i basically straight up told the guy that i wasn't getting the RROD, because i'm not.

so i can't send it in as a RROD problem because they have record of me saying that it isn't a RROD problem.
