Reading reviews of unfinished games is 100 times more entertaining than reading reviews of good ones!

@Johny_47 That's unlikely. GTA4 doesn't have licensed cars and manufacturers don't want to see their cars messed up to the extent that the safety of the driver is compromised. The only reason that games like Dirt can get away with it is because the cars in the game aren't road-going showroom cars; they've had safety features stripped for weight and body panels replaced with flimsier fiberglass and CFRP ones, so a Group N STi getting messed up isn't a reflection of the safety of the showroom car, anyways.

Since I'm replying anyways, the different surfaces is probably like the different between dirt road and off road, transitional surface where dirt roads meet paved roads, messed up roads, dirt vs. grass etc.

@revolution_sd I flipped and had to look it up. What exactly did you mean by "they cancelled Sleeping Dogs" because as far as I can see it's still moving along fine.

Whenever these articles come out being critical of Japanese developers, people always disagree in the comments without acknowledging that Japanese game development has been in a slump. I'd rather not admit that, but it's the truth. Japanese dev's aren't motivated because on an international level, Western games are selling the best. You might wish that Japanese dev's and publishers didn't care about sales outside of Japan, but they're industry can't survive like that. If they could, Capcom wouldn't have had one of the SOCOM developers make a squad-based third-person shooter Resident Evil and Ninja Gaiden wouldn't have gotten streamlined. Granted, neither of these games turned out well, but the point is they were both attempts to widen the appeal outside of Japan and the niche market outside Japan.

Haha I think he said "aging" computers. But to be honest, not a lot of gaming computers coming from the East before the Samsung Series 7 Gamer so it wouldn't be too far off base to say that.

I would love to see Stefan Strandberg do a racing game. Bad Company 2 is pretty much all the proof you need to know that this guy is way more than competent. He definitely looks like a sound/music guy too haha
