Did OXM discontinue their monthly Demo Disc?

Every copy I have seen of Issue# 128 [Novemeber 2011] does not have a Demo disc nor any mention of one throughout the magazine.

Ifthey did decide to end it,it's a pity because that is the main reason why I was still getting this magazine, short of that disc there is very little in this magazine I cannot get nearly anywhere online.

The Halo/Gears of War Poster? Don't care...

After I DL'ed GTA IV the Lost and the Damned my console continually acts and behaves as if it is bricking the picture will freeze and has a checkerboard like pattern. In attempting to determine if it was the patches for the game or the DL content I tried the game with and without the hd WITH AND WITHOUT xbox LIVE, DURING THIS PROCESS my Gamertag dissappeared I attempted to recover but get the result that I do not have sufficient space on my XBOX360 HD even though I have more than 40 gigs free. Any ideas? I desperately want my console to work again. I was playing it last night with absolutely no problem.

I am helping a freind connect his Original XBOX system to his new 50" Insignia LCD Flatpanel. It runs at maximum resolution of 720p.

I went out and bought a component A/V pack so that he couyld squeeze the most life out of his system. Unfortunaately, when I test games on it, I get severely split pictures on some games. I have attempted to load Fable (480P) and Dragon's Lair (720P) with disastrous results. Both of these games have had duplicate images with entire horizontsal lines out of place. Its like half of the tiop part of the image is on the bottom. It seems that the lines are severly out of sync. On Dragon's Lair it was far worse than on Fable however.

I checked the cables to verify that they were in the correct ports, and they were, I tried the component 1 and component 2 plug in locations on the set and experienced the same problem. I unplugged all of the wires and started again. Same problem.

I thought that I had a few theories on what might be causing the issue when I popped in a copy of Mortal Kombat: Deception (480P) and the game ran buttery smooth. At this point I have no idea what to think. The Xbox website and the insignia website are of almost no assistance. Has anyone else experienced this issue? When I had my XBOX hooked up a long time ago I never had any such issues.

Man I sure hope that somebody out there can help me.

Everyone that I have told this to has stared at me blank faced not quite sure what to make of it.

Okay here we go, When ever I boot up my XBOX 360 to play standard DVD's, my 360 stops acknkowledging the input device.  It still has one quarter of the indicator ring lit so 'technically' it is still connected to the 360 but, the system does not acknowledge any input commands.

I have tried multiple different menthods to test my 360 out.  I have tried to turn on my 260 with nothing in the drive and power up my controller and navigate the menus, this has been successful.  I have both manually loaded and used my controller to assist me in loading games to play, this has been successful.  I have tried to play said games, and this has been successful.

However, upon inputing a standard DVD into the drive I loose all functionality.  The controller swears it's there the ring on the front of my 360 says it is there, it just doesn't accept any commands.

I have stood directly in front of my 360 with the controller not yet on and loaded a DVD into the drive and after the DVD starts turned on my controller, and at a distance of less than a foot, when a DVD is in my 360, the console is unable to find my controller, it just keeps searching.

So what do you guys think has anyone else heard of this?  Does anyone know what to do about it?  Is it my 360?  Is it my controller?  What do you guys think?

Please Help!!  My fiance will kill me if she can't watch her DVD's on the big screen. :?

Okay Microsoft's phone suport was a huge help. (not) they suggested that I send in my controller for a replacement as they felt that would be the problem.  So I took it upon myself to take the supposedly suspect DVD down to my local EB games and see if I could test out my controller to see if that was indeed the problem.  Well the guys at EB actually dug out a used 360 and set it up for me, we tested it and bingo, no problem with the controller, they suggested that I try to take off the harddrive and see if perhaps I had been the unlucky reciepient of a brick with one of the updates.  So I tried that when I got home.  No luck there either.

Could this be something in the settings that I am unfamiliar with?

I purchased the system @ Best Buy and have the 2 year no fault warantee on it, they said that I could upgrade to a 360 Eleite for the cost difference of $80 if I traded in my console.  The hard thing now is trying to scrounge up a data transfer cable so I can keep all of the stuff on my HD when/if I do have to upgrade.  I can do a direct swap for a premium 360 and keep my HD if they "determine" that the problem is not HD related.

On a related note what do you guys think of the XPort docking station?
