I am not 'addicted' to gaming, it's not a damn drug and the strength of my principles combined with common fucking sense means I will quit it without a second thought once anti-consumer practices reach their logical digital endpoint. I'm also getting tired of the WE NEED MORE MULTICULTI GAMES! thing. The market generally doesn't give a damn about your high minded inclusivist ideals on a sixty dollars American transaction in an economy that's in a slump. The consumer is not going to take a chance on a game based on being a midwife in North Korea that could easily, and probably likely, be some overpriced pretentious trash designed to tell straight white nerds to check their privilege. That's annoying enough without having to pay money for it. The market is geared towards the tastes of the consumer; as soon as those tastes change the market will adjust accordingly.
Jesus Christ. I have zero interest in the WiiU since I think the Wii is just about the worst goddamned thing that ever happened to videogames, but I've got to say that a company showing an ounce of humility like this is a breath of fresh air considering the recent nonstop barrage of bombastic assholes that think they and their company can do no wrong and it's all the customers' fault for being 'entitled'.
