This article sorta works psychologically on the readers. Saying that something loads in 75 seconds rather than 1 minute and 15 sec makes the time seem exaggerated. Aside from the initial boot-up, most PSP games have rather small load times. Burnout Legends is one of my favorites and load times between races or events is usually only 3-7 seconds. Sleep mode also helps. Extending battery life is as easy as using a low screen brightness, reduced volume and/or headphones. Plus seriously, who plays the PSP for 5 hours straight? I play usually during my 30-minute break at work. If I play at home, I have it hooked up to the power charger so I can have access to the highest level brightness. Certain games do have very poor load times such as X-Men Legends which can be rather annoying. Untold Legends has fairly long load times, but the time you spend playing through the zones is much longer than the load times. I'm used to load times being an owner of various CD/DVD based gaming systems from the PS1/2 to the Dreamcast to the Xbox, and only truly impatient people get upset with the load times.
