Ummm.... so, let me get this straight. You think becuase we can't HEAR them screaming they don't feel pain?

not on the scale dogs do. they don't perceive things the way more intelligent creatures do, they just do a specific little job, like I said, they aren't intelligent enough to really realize what's going on anyways.

I think it was a subtle joke.

they aren't as intelligent as dogs, they don't scream out in pain when they get hurt, they are basically like little machines, what, you gonna put a law about killing bacteria next? what's so different about bacteria? they are both pests for the most part, while I don't support cruelty of any kind, can you seriously imagine getting put into jail or fined for stepping on a little bug anywhere but india? ( some even try to get all the earth worms out of the ground before they build something 9_9 )

Yea, it's usually very annoying, so UNLESS it adds to story depth ( REAL story depth. ) you shouldn't do it, and at least don't COMPLETELY recycle the bosses, add new moves and patterns and looks! and try to make the final boss a bit harder than the others, AND ADD CHECKPOINTS IF THERE ARE A LOT OF BOSSES!! ( that's how I think boss re-fights should be done, if at all )

OK, I'll put my expectations from my perfect game here MY PERFECT GAME: 1. LOTS of customization and LOOOOTTTTSSSSS of items and equipment. ( like 2000+ ) 2. open-ended with LOTS to do ( anything you can think of as long as it doesn't get horribly violent ) and you must be able to create many different and interesting items with all of the hobbies, and there MUST be levels. and all hobbies must actively involve the player, not just have them watch the character do it. and the environment in which you walk around MUST have variety and never recycle things, it must ALL be original. 3. you can take the story MANY MANY different ways ( as in the story will more than likely never be the same thing twice ) 4. have many different styles of fighting, from FPS to RPG to turn-based. ( which MUST be optional. I dislike purely combat games with no equal alternatives. ) 5. living, breathing world where anything can happen ( not just something where they do generally the same things with each other over and over ) 6. Multiplayer capabilities ( opens up new levels of interaction and lots of hilarity, like launching cars into each other and flying halfway across a city like a ragdoll because of a nuclear explosion that happened because you piled up a whole bunch of cars and put a mega bomb on them ) 7. Your own COMPLETELY customizable house, where EVERYTHING has a purpose right down to having a secret compartment in the floor of your closet to keep stuff safe from burglers 8. XP and level system, where you get AP and can use it to upgrade skills and get the capabilities to use more weapons ( of which there must be a big variety. ) 9. Deep, rich, long storyline ( nothing shallow, and must be detailed. ) 10. basically, the ULTIMATE open ended game where there are absolutely NO glitches ( UNLESS they are funny and actually add to the game in humor and such, NOTHING annoying ) and has an RPG/FPS flare and spans across many time periods in a way where it doesn't feel segmented, but at the same time you don't have to experience the full stretch of time. ( or you can just add in a time machine, that works for me too =P ) and you are able to do anything you can imagine. even build the dancing banana from the peanut butter jelly song and end up driving it into the sun after blowing up an uninhabited planet and mining all the asteroids in an asteroid belt and knocking over a skyscraper ( of yea, the buildings can't be unbreakable, nothing can be unbreakable in the game. )
