How exactly are they ignoring the 'hardcore audience'? What's missing this gen compared to last gen?

People are basing their theorys off of Nintendo's E3 conference. They do, in fact, have more mainstream games in development, they just weren't ready to be shown.

Yeah 'cause LBP is all about graphics.

Some haters just don't think through their arguments, had you said it wouldn't work so well with the online system and say friends codes being needed to send levels to people, then i'd agree.

LBP is about the community but also has a heavy reliance on realistic, massive physical interactions which the Wii just can't pull off.

If you think the Wii can't pull of physics, then you're wrong. I'm fairly certain that every system this gen can do physics.
