I have one of those "American Gladiator" XBL gamertags. Twice now, my account was hacked (with a Zune, or Zune.com) and someone changed my gamertag. However, MS _does_ have a policy where they reserve old gamertags for three years. I'm not sure what the point of changing my tag was, there's no way they were going to suddenly get it. Both times MS reset my gamertag after a twenty day investigation period.
