Spot on review. I've played to chapter 5 so far, and it's really impressive how the game melds it's more cinematic aspects directly into the action. The overall direction of the game collectively is really sharp as well, but it's no surprise since it's usually one of the things the developer is known for.

As the reviewer here said, it is pretty sublime how they make the character seem more vulnerable through the actual gameplay under the weight of evreything that haunts him, yet the badass still comes out. It's somewhat like Snake in the last Metal Gear Solid, if that makes sense.

I purchased the full game as well, and honestly don't think a lot of the universal dissatisfaction for it is totally warranted. The game isn't without it's faults obviously, but for ten bucks it's a very cute and charming nod to Fable franchise and has a heck of a lot of personality crammed into it.

Yeah, I agree. I'd be more inclined to pay for single player content in something like Max Payne rather than "maps". Maps can go blow.
