I'm not sure if this particular thing has been asked about before but, I have a HDMI port on my laptop and so i'm able to connect my ps3 tothe computer. However the laptop will not screen what the ps3 is doing, so I'm wondering is there software out there that will allow me to use my laptop as a screen for use with my ps3 and also allow me to record what is happening on screen. thank you very much for help in advance.

sounds great, but I'm not that tech savvy, do you recommend any sites that will help me through the process?

I've nearly got enough money to buy a 160 GB PS3 but as of late have not been able to find any on the interwebs nor stores. I was wondering about using an external HDD but I'm not clear on everything. I've heard you can take out the PS3's hard drive an replace it with another and other such things, but I'm at a loss with it all. I'm wondering if I am able to take it out or hook it up with an Ext HDD; then is it worth me getting a 40 or 80 Gig and just doing that?

thanks in advance, and cheers for the advice.
