@swantn5: yes, I liked it also. It was clear the developers were inspired by Lost. I love this mystery which still isn't solved completely after the first playthtough. Have to continue my New Game+, because there are new story sequences added.

@Barighm: no, it hasn't sold that well. It was very fast down to 10 bucks and soon on Games with Gold.

@wickknickers: could be. I'm the father with a family, but it was my son who played this game until two years ago. He doesn't play it anymore.

I don't think there will be really big, gameplay changing updates. It won't ever happen, because the Universe is procedurally generated, it would be completely changed and had to be started from the scratch with a new seed. I don't think that big changes would really work without loosing progress and discoveries.

Therefor, I have to say that one basic thing about No Man's Sky is completely wrong adressed from Hello Games and literally everyone: The thing with the 18 quintillion planets. This is not true. Whether there more or less than that, this number really points out the possible universes the game can create with a 64 bit seed. Minecraft has also a 64 bit seed and can generate 18 quintillion worlds out of it.

The difference is: In Minecraft, you really can generate all these worlds. In No Man's Sky, only one seed (one possibility out of 18 Quintillions) is used, so everyone plays on the same map. How big this map or the universe is, has to be a parameter the algorithm uses to build a world out of this seed. Maybe a infinite universe can be generated that way, but the bigger the universe is and the less possibilities you feed it with, the more repetitive this universe will be.

So said, you could generate a really big world and maybe you let the algorithm many freedoms with the terrain, but if you only insert three creatures to mix up, you will have a result that isn't really interesting.

@acharis_frost: Yes, I understand people are loving the original franchises and want to create something with it, but the best way to not hurt the rights of other people and companies is just doing their own thing. So all they have to do is creating own creatures and characters for their game.

saw the movie wednesday evening, with dad and my kids. We all liked it. My kids are more fans of Marvel but this movie was good for them, too. Well, maybe it's different than other superhero movies. But guess what: It's a movie, two and a half hours long. no religion, no 200h+ game, nothing you have o decide for and can't watch something different next time.

I think it would be sad if all movies would be equal, if DC didn't went their own way to be different from Marvel. Critics said the movie isn't humurous. So what? Not every movie have to have humour in it.

Did anyone notice the burned down Wayne Manor? Didn't this happen in Batman Begins? Yes, the Batman here has a history, it's not early in his career. But I didn't think the DK Trilogy could be sort of a prequel (maybe with alternating things) for this.

@Exceed20XX: Now this is something I don't know. Maybe it had more units. But maybe it was because FF/PZ was labeled as limited editon and had a steelbook. Also, PZ is known among european gamers while TDT is a new IP not many european gamers were aware of. There was no marketing from Nintendo. Maybe slow sales in Europe led to a decrease of units for the US launch?

@Exceed20XX: funny thing, The Devil's Third didn't sell so fast in Europe like Fatal Frame/PZ. It is still 60€ in most countries, which is the normal price. In these, the price also doesn't get down. But in UK, the game was like 18 pounds a few days ago so i got it from there. now price is up to 40 pounds again.

@Megavideogamer: a friend of mine played it and liked it. No AAA but far from the mess the reviews told us.
