Everyone hear develops PC games and know better than the actual developers and publishers. AFAIK this is the same thing Crytek spoke about and now they are multiplat. PC gaming isn't dead but the market is changing. I am sure more people are playing facebook games than the majority of main stream PC titles these days.
Plus side is your PC will load stuff faster the bad side is hard drives die. And you are taking a double chance on your data. So only go raid 0 if you are regularly backing up your information somewhere else (which hopefully you do anyways)EmperorSupreme
I have never had a hard drive die and raid0 does not cause hard drives to die.

That's the problem Sony feels they can do whatever they want because people dont care. I know that most gamers are kids and by default and don't get it.
I bet if they bought a cell phone and all of a sudden they could no longer text then they would care. Sony knows out of the 30 odd million ps3's only about 1 million use the other os feature. They know that they have your money already. They hope that the majority will say oh well I don't care. Now if you bought a slim I got it but for all of the phat ps3's owners it should matter.
I don't have a PS3 but if I did i know wouldn't care to install linux on it. I don't see the point. Web surf? What exactly do people use linux to do on their console? plug a mouse and keyboard and sit at the couch? From what I hear it runs really slow so why not just use some old laptop.
The version that used steamworks wasbad and multiplayer died quickly. it never even took off. Why would anyone want another Steam version is beyond me. I played the game before and to me it was terrible and not interested in a part 2.
