Articles like these are no longer relevant, as one region's content is totally different from the other. In which case, Gamespot should mention that this list is for US viewers only. E.g. I am in Bangladesh, where more than half of the content mentioned here is not available.
Playing the game in 2024 on a decent gaming laptop. It still has some wrinkles, occasional bugs, but its very much playable, and unique enough to make me wanna get back to it everyday.
I played the Demo on PS4....I really enjoyed it. Didn't expect it to be so fun. However, I do understand that this game will mostly appeal to those people who played the original Contra on their small TV screens and modest Nintendo consoles way back in the 80s and 90s.
At least there's one interesting game in the list...."Sifu". I don't like playing games with punishing difficulty (read Souls-borne, etc.) but this one seemed highly intriguing.
Ever since Sony launched the new tiers, they started dumping garbage on the essential tier. This is just a gross injustice. Foamstars, Rollerdome--what the hell are these games? Is there a way to get refund for PS Plus for being a shitty service? As I am not a big multiplayer freak, these free games were really important to me.
There was a Batman game on the NES which is one of the best platformers I've ever played, and it had the best possible soundtrack (considering the technology back then). Surprised to see that game not being featured here.
I think it was called Batman: The Video Game. The last few boss battles were really tough.
