If i buy a PC game, i cannot lend this to a friend, my friend would have to buy the game as well to play it. Why does this mind boggle people so bad that the industry is heading in this direction?
Do people forget all of the game studios that closed this gen? they are struggling and used games kill them. thier games may be enjoyed by a million people, but the studio only sees sales of 300k for example. this is the logical thing to do, people just always hate on change. they will get used to it, and these same people are usually the minority as well.

As much as I am starting to think MS sounds greedy as sh!t right now, we still don't know how greedy Sony is going to be yet. For all we know they could be just about equally greedy. We need to wait for both companies to be 100% straight. til then, shush. PS4 could turn out to have many of the same problems we are fearing for Xone, and Xone could be cleared on some of this stuff.

I live with just my fiance, who plays games from time to time, but rarely will we play the same game, though it does happen. I am not sure how much this would affect me if at all. I wonder what happens when you are playing split screen with 2 different profiles signed in, does it not recognize the second profile until they pay a fee? that does not seem like it would be a problem but i am waiting for more elaboration for sure

But they said Xbox One is not always online, *May need to be online initially to verify that the game is not used* but I am not sure if this is true yet. In any case, if you only had to be online when you first put the game in, would you even notice? Assuming that you are usually connected anyway?

I have figured that Sony and MS would be moving this way as time goes on, as a more PC like model, and i am not surprised. It does not bother ME personally and I am trying to figure out why it would bother other people. And you have to know that a large amount of the commenters are MS haters though.

People are mad about the rumor of needing to be online for verification of a used game?...YOU ARE ONLINE RIGHT NOW TO POST HERE, I ASSUME YOU REGULARLY ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET WHILE PLAYING GAMES. What does it matter to be online once to verify the game? Is that really going to turn you off? No, you were never going to get the console in the first place.

As for a fee for a used game, PS4 will probably do this as well, as well as some companies doing this already anyway. You cannot play a used game on a PC either. You are always online on Steam.
