P.S. Dammit can't edit thread after 6 mins. GS bring back this feature.
lol i see what you did there.
Not even close dude, Mount and blade combat is a complete joke.
Mount and Blade combat takes skill, patience and timing while in dark soul you spam a spell and dodge like a monkey to win. I'm not saying its not fun, but most of the time in PVE its just block > back stab > repeat. PVP is a joke.

LMAO.
lol don't feed the troll. Please don't tell me DS2 combat is clunky and slow.
It is. ^^
Dark Souls 2 however just feels slow, very clunky, the animations take all year to complete, the A.I is poor and the character moves slightly independently from the camera, this ends up making it feel very Japanese, very weird. I mean it is like the latest FF games or any JRPG really where it feels a bit animation first, I hate it when a character moves before the camera. I don't feel like I'm engaging in great combat and it being skillful, I feel like I'm just bugging out the A.I or trying to find and exploit. I just don't get why it is so popular, it controls so poorly, it is so fixed animation based like Japanese games are... why? We should be able to move freely and aim where we want. Dead Rising was the same, killing zombies was boring because for one there are no physics (again mostly Japanese games have not physics) and so everything is animated, you cannot aim where you want, you cannot chop off limbs like Dead Island... no instead you hit a button and kill 10 zombies and they all animate to death and fade away.
Lords of the Fallen, even a game that inspired from Souls is slow and clunky XD.
Arkham Knight got a 7/10 and Mad Max 6/10; I think GS has it out for WBIE.
Mortal Kombat X game of the month, Shadow of Mordor game of the year xD.

DS2 has a metric fuckton of problems, chief among them being shoddy hit detection but I'd still take that games combat over Mount and Boring.
Then if we include something like bloodborne the gap get's even wider.
I've played Mount and Blade Warband on and off for a few years now and it has to be not only the good online experience of what it offers, but also the good melee combat in a game. It is directional, you have full control over your character, it feels as one to one you can get from current controls. I love being able to put my shield up and face the right way to defend, I love being able to swing from any direction to try and avoid their defence, I love being able to put my shield up and avoid arrows. It is good, so precise and just feels tight. For honors blocking mechanics that requires you to block in the right direction!........Mount and Blade did that 8 years ago. Do not forget war of the roses! Inspired by mount and blade but War of the Roses has got real armour, the amount of damage the armour absorbs depends on what material that is hit and where. Mount and Blade has got three hit boxes: legs, torso and heads whilst War of the Roses can distinguish between hitting the helmet or the unprotected throat. Also, hafted weapons have hitboxes placed at the head so in order to do any damage your weapons head has to connect with your opponent. War of the Roses still has the momentum system Mount and Blade has which is the most realistic feature in any melee combat game to date. The first person, up close view similar to Chivalry whilst in Warband most players melee in third person view. Chivalry has got little realism, attacks does static damage with no effect from momentum and you do the same amount of damage no matter where you hit your opponent. (hitting them in the head does a little extra damage) It's really simplified and I reckon that's one of the reasons why it's become so popular. Then if we are going to include something like Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord the gap get's even wider.

Copy & paste from reddit, neogaf, YT etc, same boring interview with Devs that you can see in gaming events.
