Considering everyone's giving it such high praise and that's become the new "what shooter should play like game" I'd say yah, a little bit. Lots of games get overrated easily though. I don't know how many arguments of people I've seen say stuff like "Well it's set the bar for FPS shooters" "With a game like COD4 showing companies how PS games should play" "COD4 is the perfect example of what every shooter should be"

I'd say yah, but for some odd reason people are taking the "hype" and praise more lightly than they did with Halo. It was the same stuff but during Halo 2, but it's cool for COD to do the same? Not trying to bash the game I know it's awesome, just saying, it's kind of getting away with murder hype wise. Halo took it all instead and now that game is just plain bashed by plenty of people. Some new epic shooter will come out and guess who will be slapped in the ass then probably for not being as up to date and good? COD 4 I'm sure.

And Bioshock when it coems to it's story? Let's not even get started.

I don't think it's gonna be sold out at all, they will have plenty of copies everywhere probably, not sying it's gonna suck it's just not extremely overly hyped and wanted. I want to read some reviews though before I purchase it, please god just get a co-op game right for once that isn't an FPS *crosses fingers*

The story isn't THAT terrible, it has it's little twists and while the situation is kind of unrealistic and so is the way that it would actually be approached by the U.S., it's the gameplay and such that makes Vegas realistic.

But I forgot about renting...just do that.

Well I don't know, it's close to Vegas 2's launch..if it was like a month ago I'd say it's worth it. Then again it's only $29.99 now, and the only reason I'd suggest it would be so you can get the story so you know what's going on for Vegas 2. Then again you can just Wikipedia the Vegas 1's story....so....basically this post is useless and I don't know what you should do. I guess just read up on the story if you wanna save 30 bucks, but just jnow the game is freakin awesome.

Wow I thought my almost 6,000 game record on Halo 2 live was pretty impressive but damn. I can agree though, they kinda screwed up the maps, or didn't bring enough back. And who the hell gets rid of Blood Gultch, that was like a Halo multiplayer map staple, you don't just get rid of BG. And Lockout was awesome.

I like Halo 3 for what it is as well. I admit all the games are way overhyped, but sometimes that happens. I loved the campaign I like how they ended it I was actually expecting more of the same Halo 2 type campaign but it's definitely different and I was actually intrigued enough to find out what would happen to the Prophet, Cortana etc. to play till the end.

And the multiplayer as always has also improved, yah I'm sad a bunch of maps are missign from 2, but it still provided what a video game is supposed to, fun. I LOVE Vegas as well and can't wait to get Vegas 2, but I'm not selling Halo 3 to get it, rather I'm going to have both.

Or if you have a bunch of annoying friends on Halo and you feel like playing Vegas but they all want you to join...or if your not going to be there but don't want to turn your 360 off and don't want messages spamming your inbox you can appear offline. There are actual uses for this, I wasn't asking for fun. And appear offline does make sense....you appear offline to your friends, I see where you might be thinking it's some kind of oxymoron but it's not.

[QUOTE="DarkDeadlyCages"]It's great that all you guys are "Done" with Halo 3....games are freakin meant to be fun not a competition for what you should play at any one time. Systems exist to have more than 1 game played on it. I'm gonna be a "rebel" I suppose and I'm going to*GASP* GET READY! Buy Vegas 2 and still play Halo 3 on XBL! I know I know, it's hard to believe, rather than choosing 1 FPS to play I'm going to play 2 interchangeably...wish me luck, because apparently this is a hard endevor.darksusperia

its not that its a hard endevour. its that swapping between halo 3 -> cod4 -> RB6V etc is all the same game, diff maps etc but essentially the same game.

swap from halo 3 -> GRAW, there is a big difference.

thats what I myself am getting at.

Basically, halo, cod all have the same feeling of, been there, done that. They dont really offer you any variation to the game play. sure theres different modes, but the gameplay is still the same.

GRAW is for the most part, diff mode = diff gameplay. sharpshooter, u can all run around like idiots and respawn as much as you want, sure it wont do much for your score tho.

LMS - try and run around, u'll last 2 secs from the moment you spawn.

Blind seige - you really need to work as a team here, one man army wont get you anywhere.

U see my point?

Indeed. All I'm trying to say is why people feel the need to "drop" games for another one? I can understand if it's years old like playing COD4 over Halo 2, I would do that, but I can't seem to udnerstand why games for the saem console have to compete all the time. You don't have to go trade in Gears, GRAW, Halo 3 and COD4 for Vegas 2, instead you can play all of them or a few of them at the same time period, You don't need to sell or drop a game just because you got a new one of the same genre, especially an FPS game, where multiplayer is the bulk of the purchase you made.

It just seems like people love saying "I'm selling Halo 3 lulz" or "Don't buy Frontlines Vegas 2 is coming out lulz!"...but in reality...it's a game for a console, you're actually allowed to have more than 1 game at a time. Why choose 1 when you can interchangably play both, or more?
