Plasma is what you want, burn-in is a thing of the past - Plasma brings out the colours, with even Deeper Black Levels, giving better shades and depth into the image, its also 1080p so your future proof with this
I have a PS3 and my current plasma looks sweet, but im upgrading tomorrow to a Panasonic TH50PZ800B :D
I would like to add one more thing to the discussion:
Is the room you'll be "using" the TV brightly lit or not well lit. The rooms illumination; from lamps and sunlight, will have an impact on wich TV to buy. If the room is bright and cannot not be made dark, you should go with the LCD as the picture will not be affected much by this. If the room is dark or can be made dark you should get the Plasma and it "performs" better with less light in the room.
You guys can discuss back and forth about image burning and what not. The truth is that as of today the difference is not that much between the two technologies. However: the two main things to think about is; the size og the TV and lighting conditions. If you want a large TV, say 42 inches and up, don't get the LCD as the picture quality on the bigger TVs is superior on the Plasma. If you want a TV the size between 32 inches and 42 inches and the room can be dark or light depending on what you wish, you should really get something that looks good with your other furniture as well.

Newer plasmas are fitted with light-resistant gloss screens - Light doesnt effect the picture anymore
